The thermostat is what controls the flow of coolant into your engine based on temperature. If your vehicle is overheating the problem could be a thermostat that is stuck closed. 

Restore efficiency to your cooling system by replacing your faulty thermostat. During your thermostat change, coolant loss is inevitable.

Thermostat includes the Thermostat Housing and Sealing Gasket.
